HISTORY

1826 Church built by John Wichcord and single bell cast by Thomas Mears II.

1970 Bell broken up in the tower. The metal was used in the casting of a new treble bell for St Mary the Virgin, Ashford.

1971 Church closed under UB measure.

1975 23rd Jul Declaration of the redundancy scheme.

1981 18th Mar Amendment to declaration of redundancy.
